Cookie & Remarketing Policy

A detailed explanation of browser storage, analytics, conversion measurement and advertising technologies that may be used on the GroundGO website.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and software-development tools that recognise a device or record an event. They may be set by GroundGO or by a connected provider.

2. Essential website storage

Essential storage supports functions requested by the user and cannot always be switched off through a cookie banner.

  • Remembering cart contents and the selected mower variant
  • Maintaining security, fraud prevention and load balancing
  • Remembering privacy and cookie choices
  • Supporting forms, checkout steps and accessibility preferences

3. Analytics and performance

When enabled, analytics tools help GroundGO understand how the website is found and used, which pages work properly and where customers abandon a process. Reports may include device, approximate location, referral, session and conversion information.

  • GroundGO should configure analytics to minimise unnecessary collection
  • Analytics information is not used to override legal privacy rights
  • Aggregated reporting may be retained after individual identifiers are deleted

4. Advertising, pixels and remarketing

GroundGO may connect Google Ads, Meta Pixel or similar advertising services. These technologies can measure whether an advertisement led to a visit, quotation or order and can create audiences for later advertising.

  • Website visits and actions may be matched to advertising identifiers
  • Ads may appear on third-party sites or apps after a GroundGO website visit
  • Advertising providers control their own identifiers and account-level ad settings
  • GroundGO should not activate non-essential advertising tags before the required preference controls are available

5. Consent and preference controls

Where GroundGO relies on a cookie preference, the website should provide a clear method to accept, reject or adjust non-essential categories. Withdrawing a preference does not automatically delete data already lawfully processed by an independent provider.

  • Essential functions remain available where practical
  • Rejecting analytics or advertising cookies may reduce measurement or personalisation
  • A user may revisit cookie settings to change a previous selection

6. Browser and platform controls

Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted. Blocking all storage may prevent cart, login, form or checkout functions from working correctly. Google, Meta and other advertising platforms also provide their own privacy and advertising controls.

7. Retention

Cookie duration varies by purpose and provider. Session cookies may expire when the browser closes; persistent cookies remain for a stated period or until deleted. GroundGO should review connected tags and retention settings regularly and avoid keeping identifiable analytics longer than reasonably necessary.

8. Changes and contact

This policy will be updated when new analytics, advertising or customer-experience tools are connected. Use the GroundGO Contact page for questions about website tracking or privacy choices.
